Before you freak out, let me tell you that the Gel Lyte pair you are seeing is not inspired by the Go Green movement or the Girl/Boy scouts. The Asics Gel Lyte Speed Surface pack actually comes in two colorways. One of which is the green pair you are seeing above with stained pattern white sole.
The second pair is actually more appealing to me personally, with its more subtle color tones of minimalist gray and the candy cane red and white pattern for the sole accent and the laces.
In case you’re wondering the Surface pack is actually inspired by the outdoors. The Green and Mud speckled combo takes its inspiration from the grass and the fields, where as the gray pair represents that of the pavement and the red and white accents for the road signs. Brilliant huh?
