New Balance has collaborated with Another Editon (a Japanese brand) to create these interesting shoes.
Using the New Balance 574, the collaboration is somewhere between a shoe and a boot. A sock extends out from the top of the sneaker to create a soft top boot.
The shoe part is a black suede and cream colorway with a black and white houndstooth pattern in the toe box. The sock part is a cream colored knit, but when it’s folded down it is also the same houndstooth pattern.
I have seen these sock extensions on some women’s pumps lately. Now it seems they are doing something similar with these women’s sneakers. Though I don’t think I’d buy them, they are definitely unique.
