Air Force Ones with a Chicago Bulls Theme

af1s.jpg

This pair of custom Nike Air Force Ones take the cool simplicity of this popular shoe and adds a classic touch. The red and black used on these Air Force Ones make me think of the Chicago Bulls because of the Michael Jordan silhouette on the outside heel. The original Air Force Ones used for these customs were plain white and a custom designer needs to be careful not to mess around too much with this prominent shoe style.

In this case, I think the results of this designer’s efforts are mixed. The red and black colors used jump out from the shoe and the basic design was satisfactory. The problem with these Air Forces Ones comes with the execution. Black lines are used along the seams in an effort to accentuate different parts of the shoe. This design touch is a missed step since it cuts the shoe into distinct parts instead of putting up a united front. In the end, I’m not sure I would purchase this pair of customs from the artist just based on the economics of custom sneakers.

I am confident that the artist in question has other customs that are worthy of your hard earned money. You can check out his other works at http://oneyebyspoonman.blogspot.com/ and drop him a note if you love his work. By the way, Merry Christmas to all!
