Nike All Court “Hispanic Heritage Month”

The Nike All Court “Hispanic Heritage Month” is a shoe that commemorates the Hispanic Heritage Month. Kiki McGehee, from Nike, created this sneaker from a Nike High Court model. This design is based on a technique called the piteado. This is a popular technique used on leather boost and belts in Latin America. The word “Pride” is included on the shoe to show the lifestyle of the Hispanics, while embracing their culture, living in the U.S. The word is made using a special font. The flower pattern shows the freedom of expression. The colors used recreate the floral representation of a natural scene.

The toe box and tongue are black and the white shoe lace is a strong contrast against the dark background. The midsole around the toe cap has a protective white cap. The midsection has a swirling pattern in orange color. The concentric pattern has a calm, cooling effect. The collar at the ankle is light green. The midsole is unique. It has a gradual shift of colors using orange, green and beige. The back tab is a yellow piece of leather with “Nike” printed on it. This is a unique shoe as it is created to celebrate a very special occasion.
