Most of the custom sneakers posted on My Air Shoes are developed over days, weeks and months by visionary designers. Designer Eric Constantine spent a little under 12 hours developing his WTRMLN Air Max 90s. These photos were posted on Sneaker Obsession to show that experienced designers can put together a nice pair of customs without the benefit of time.
The subtlety of the WTRMLN design arises with Constantine’s careful planning of color placement. The pink and green colors that are familiar to watermelon fans are used on the majority of these shoes. Constantine added a mixed dark and light green pattern on a thin slice of the front panel in a nod to the real exterior of a watermelon. I love the fact that Constantine toed that thin line between cartoonish watermelons and abstract images with these custom Air Max 90s.
