Jordan Brand gave Carmelo Anthony his own signature sneaker in his 2nd year in the NBA. Well here is one of his signature sneakers that was never released and is a sample. These Melo M5s comes in a Black/Metallic Silver/Taxi colorway. As most of you can see, most of the sneaker comes in black. Most of the sneaker is also constructed in nubuck. A huge Air Jordan Jumpman is placed on the side of the ankle in Metallic Silver. Taxi accents are seen on areas such as the tongue and inner lining. The number 15 is seen all over the mid panel. LeBron James wasn’t the only one who debuted his new signature shoe at the Olympics. If you played close attention to the Gold Medal game, you would have noticed Carmelo’s halftime wardrobe change. For most of the games he wore the Melo M4 but decided to give the world a sneak peak. Timing couldn’t have been any better.

The Melo M5 was designed by Footwear Design Director of Brand Jordan D’Wayne Edwards, which helps explain its similarities to the Jordan signature line. The same style side panel and exterior stitching like we saw on the Air Jordan XX3 as well as a ribbed plastic piece at the heel similar to the Air Jordan XIV.
