It is this appointed year that Neighborhood and BAPE will collaborate to come up with a new shoe collection that is called NHBA Brotherhood. The founders of both BAPE and Neighborhood in the names of Nigo and Shinsuke Takizawa released one of the photos of a particular piece in the line of collection.

This sneaker, if you would notice, looks the same like the Converse Chuck Taylor High but this time with all the custom symbols. The symbols on the other hand look like the New York Yankees brand in interlocking letters. These symbols are embroidered right on the upper part of the shoes, in its entirety. It’s like seeing a Louis Vuitton bag with all its LV symbols all over.

We must continue to stay tuned for more updates from the very interesting collaboration which could possibly result for more colorways and designs for this particular shoe collection series.

The word for this pair is…lovely! We cannot think of any other word to characterize this special pair from Bape. Look at the bright patent leather of the upper, covered with a sparkly coat, the translucent speckled sole, and the word to be added to the “lovely” above is brilliant this time.

The brand Bape is associated with flashiness and bravado, and this design surely lives up to that reputation and the Bape name. There’s of course every reason in the world to condemn excess in favor of elegance, but when in the right hands, even such a difficult to handle concept can be concluded in a perfectly harmonious manner. This is what Bape shows us in this design.

A Bathing Ape has collaborated with Isetan, a Japanese store, to come up with this new version of the Bapesta. With a myriad of colors and patterns, these Bapes really stand out. Considering the usage of red and green in the color scheme, these kicks would make sense to rock around Christmas time.

Besides red and green, yellow is the most used color on the shoe. In fact, the yellow shoe laces may stand out more than any other aspect. Although the look of these kicks is definitely unique, Bape did a good job of keeping them looking fresh. Though I don’t like these for myself personally, if you like these types of patterned shoes, you can get them at Bape stores for 16,590 yen. Via Hypebeast.

If you are looking for a new shoe for the colder weather, check out the Manhunt boots from Bape. These unique, laidback kicks won’t be for everybody but for those who like the relaxed look, these Bapes may be a good choice in the upcoming fall and winter months.

Two colorways are available. The light version uses beige with brown laces. On the other hand, the dark version uses black with blue laces. Both have a light midsole and the word “Manhunt” embossed down the front of the shoe and the “R” logo near the heel. Via High Snobiety.

Some of the releases from Bape have been pretty poor lately – such as the Sockstas and Bapesta Sandals. Here comes more shoes – these are a decent though still not amazing.

The Bape Roadsta “Hiking Pack” features three shoes inspired by classic hiking boots by the material, as well as the laces. These Roadstas come in three colorways, that you will also find in hiking boots. Personally, I’m most fond of the grey pair pictured above, but you can get all three colorways at Bape stores. The latest shoe from Bape is the new Bape Tracksta. This running shoe features a simple design that is similar to some of Nike’s running sneakers.

Including in this release are five colorways, the loudest of which is an orange/white/black version. The rest of the shoes are pretty tame, featuring mostly white, blues and other neutrals.

Recently we talked about the overpriced Bapesta sandals, now A Bathing Ape has created some overpriced socks.

Well, not exactly just socks – aqua socks, which means they are like a short shock with a rubber sole attached. I guess they are good for water sports, but I’m not sure that I’d pay $70 for them.

They come in four colors all with the Bapesta logo. You can get them in M, L & XL in upcoming weeks at Bape flagship stores for 7,140 yen. I’m not a big fan of these, but I’m sure somebody will like them. Via Nick Kicks.

The white shoe features a hot pink inner lining and a blue outer sole for even more color, while the black version features black inside and on the outsole.

Bape’s Summer 2008 line features a variety of shoes in great colors. So far, here are two of the models – the Bape Roadsta and a Bapesta Sandal.

The Roadsta is coming out in several colors, including brights and neutrals. My favorite is the purple version pictured above. It’s nice blend of the various shades of purple.

The Bapesta Sandals are a slip-on shoe in blue, red and yellow that may have some appeal but I’m not particularly fond of it. Check for all these shoes at your local A Bathing Ape retailer in upcoming weeks. Via Sneaker Files
