Barack Obama
Obama Nike Air Force Ones – “Hope for Change”

The main concept of this Obama sneaker design is contrast and balance. The main message is to express they joy that comes with George W. Bush no longer being our president, and second, to show our support to Senator Obama. The back of this Obama nike air force one features one of the numerous logos for the international day of peace. Peace is one of the main reasons why we support Senator Obama. Finally, at the very back of the shoes, the words “change” and “hope”. The use of distored fonts was to express a scream with hope, asking for change. The face of Bush as president is what this country needs to change, and the face of Senator Barack Obama is the hope.

Barack Obama Air Force Ones

Ripp is a 24-year old designer from Winston-Salem, North Carolina who has mixed his support for Barack Obama with his customizing skills on this pair of Air Force One Highs. Ripp took three weeks to create his Barack Obama Air Force Ones and his round-the-clock efforts show. You can reach Ripp by email at rippgetem22@yahoo.com if you want to get your own Obama customs.

The designer mixed images of Barack Obama with patriotic themes and campaign slogans to promote the Illinois senator’s candidacy. He used acrylic leather paint on the panels and fabric paint on the sole with a red/white/blue colorway that is appropriate for this election season. Ripp made each shoe independent without sacrificing quality and the unified pro-Obama theme.

The left shoe has USA on the heel, Change on the inside and Obama on the tongue. The right shoe has God Bless America on the heel, Progress on the inside and Barack on the tongue. Both shoes are tied together with simple images of Senator Obama looking out at the viewer from the tongues, making the same connection he has made with millions of Americans.

Ripp saved a little jab at Senator John McCain for the bottom of the shoe with images of the Republican candidate ready to be stepped on. The designer has priced these size 7 1/2 Air Force Ones at $400. We will be hearing more from Ripp in the future but his Barack Obama Air Force Ones show that the custom sneaker world seems to be on board with the Illinois senator’s campaign for change.

TTK Obama Blazers

TTK created a pair of custom Nike Dunks in honor of Senator Barack Obama’s historic campaign back in July. He was asked recently to create a new pair of Nike Blazers in anticipation of the November 4th election. These pictures were found at TTK’s latest Nike Talk post linked here.

While TTK drew on the same colorway as his Obama Dunks, the Obama Blazers feature different images of the senator during his campaign. The Obama Dunks showed the presidential candidate in profile smiling and looking thoughtfully at a fictional speaker outside of the shoe. The Obama Blazers picture Senator Obama looking out from the shoe, making eye contact with the viewer.

TTK showed his client’s support for Senator Obama with a quick “Obama 08″ in blue paint. The left shoe features the word “Change” in matching blue paint to sound Obama’s campaign theme. You can get your own Obama customs and other sneakers from TTK by emailing gottkgo@yahoo.com.

TTK Obama Dunks

I wrote several months ago about a pair of Nike Air Force Ones that honored front-running Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. The last few months have changed Senator Obama from the Democratic front runner into the presumptive nominee. TTK has come out with a pair of Nike Dunks that feature images of Barack Obama in various emotional states ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

The left shoe features a portrait of Senator Obama in a pensive state as if he were listening to a Senate colleague or a question during a town hall meeting. Obama’s jovial side is shown in the image placed on the right shoe. TTK added the Obama campaign’s red/white/blue symbol just off the outer edge of each toe box.

I am a huge fan of the blue/black background used by TTK to show the momentum toward an Obama presidency. Readers can get in touch with TTK about the Obama Dunks by heading to the designer’s website linked here.
