Have you tried playing tennis? Well, I haven’t. Maybe because the only game that I can afford to play is chess so I don’t consider myself the athletic type. Well, if you like to know more about tennis maybe the popular Converse Jack Purcell will have more experience to tell than me. As seen most often on tennis and badminton courts, this model nowadays can also be spotted on the streets as a fashion icon. Its versatility as well as functionality should be applauded especially with the latest Slim Dress Gingham that will surely occupy the urban scene. As the name implied, the featured shoe got its inspiration from the gingham check pattern that you can find on shirts. You can see that the little number signifies a country note with its gingham patter in colors red / white or black / white. In detailed look, you will notice on the toe cap the signature red smile toned down to black. Other features include matching black toe cap, shoe taps and black Jack Purcell heel patch at the back.

CLOT x Converse Product (RED) Jack Purcell
April 1st, 2010 by carla_guillermo Stored in: Collaborations, Converse
I can’t help myself but look forward on more collaboration with CLOT in it. I observed that with this Hong Kong designer, famous sneaker companies tend to produce more unique releases. Well, I would not say that they can’t give the market a hit all by themselves but maybe the efforts have really got something. Anyway, this time CLOT will be teaming up with Converse Product (RED) campaign that has already produced interesting designs like Chuck Taylor’s Lupe Fiasco and the Leather Jacket. So what can we expect from the new Jack Purcell? With 100% leather material on the uppers, this sneaker will have a very subtle look yet stylish. The color of the uppers is a combination of beige and black. If it will be compared with previous releases, the Jack Purcell has just minimal red accents that can be seen on the top lace holders, toe cap and Converse branding on the tongue. What more can you get? An extra set of red shoe laces is not bad at all, right? What do you think about this collaboration?

Converse 100th Anniversary Collection: Camping Hi | Jack Purcell B-Generation | Tassel Hi
August 29th, 2008 by KoriEllis Stored in: Converse
Converse seems like it has been around forever. And comparatively, they have – as evidence by the fact that they are celebrating their 100th anniversary. To celebrate their hundred years of existence, Converse has been releasing a number of slick looking shoes in 2008.
Three models that are coming out in October are the Camping Hi, the Jack Purcell B-Generation and the Tassel Hi. For classic simplicity, the Camping Hi is a simple boot style that comes in brown or black canvas with leather details. For a little bit of funky fun, the Jack Purcell B-Generation is being released in two tartan/plaid colorways – red and blue. And the Tassel Hi comes is like an Allstar with a golf flap added at the toe. These will be available in off white or dark brown. Look for these at Converse retailers in October. Via High Snobiety.
