If you want to help a good cause and get a slick pair of sneakers in the process, consider buying one of the PRODUCT (RED) kicks. This version comes to life between a collaboration of lyrical wizard Lupe Fiasco and Converse. The All-Stars are called the 100 Supplementaire and are scheduled to be released in February at various shops that sell Converse.

Always active in the sneaker community, musician Lupe Fiasco is teaming up once again with a familiar face, Greedy Genius. The two team up to release the Paratrooper. The Paratroopers are hit with reptile-pattern leather, woven leather toe box and green accents. The Lupe Fiasco x Greedy Genius Paratrooper will only be available at select Greedy Genius retailers.

Evolved Footwear’s love for light-up designs and hip hop have led to some great customs in the past. His latest work is a pair of custom Nike Dunk Highs using Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar” video as the theme. These custom Dunks were found on Evolved’s latest Nike Talk post linked here.

Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar” video features a red carpet, stars and the night sky while the rapper’s song runs. Evolved juggled all of these elements when creating the “Superstar” Dunks. He created a rich red tongue that simulated the type of carpet walked upon by rappers and movie stars. His blue and white stars glow brilliantly against the black backdrop. He added some white stars in the distance along with gray clouds swirling around the toe box.

The “Superstar” Dunk Highs come to life once the designer flicks the light switch. The colorful, well-designed stars burst forth with brilliant light in a dark room. Evolved Footwear did a great job of making these Dunks an homage to Lupe Fiasco’s hit song while using his signature light-up features in a creative way.

Lupe Fiasco recently was fortunate enough to design a pair of Nike Air Force 1 iD’s and his point of inspiration was his label, Fall of Rome. The Air Force 1’s he used for his iD’s were a pair of AF1 Low’s, mixed with some premium leather, patent leather, and mixture of Black and Gold. The custom AF1 shoetag reads “IV” which also symbolizes his F.O.R. label and his name for this shoe, AFIV. No information on whether or not these will be released but as of right now they are limited to four pairs worldwide.
