Earlier this month, news broke that Michael Jordan would possibly be on the cover of NBA 2K11. Many wouldn’t believe it as Michael Jordan has been absent from NBA video games for years. Well if you didn’t believe it then, believe it now as we get a look at the soon to be released NBA 2K11 video game. These images look like the final shots, but some changes could be made before the October 5th, 2010 release date. Just because Michael Jordan is on the cover, that doesn’t mean that Jordan will be incorporated into the game. But lets keep our fingers crossed as 2K Sports has not ruled out the possibility. Nike – USA Basketball “Friendlies Pack” – LeBron – Kobe – Melo

In honor of the “Friendlies” games that the USA Basketball Team is playing in China as a warmup to the Beijing Olympics, Nike has releases three special sneakers for three of the top players – LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony.
LeBron’s Zoom Soldier II PE features a Chinese character print design on the heel, around the midsole and fades toward the toe. A lasered lion is features on the heel tab. On the shoes is also the Chinese characters which translate into “Land” and LeBron’s jersey number. The special box for these shoes also features the lion, the Chinese characters that are on the shoe, and his number.
Kobe’s Mamba Hyperdunk, which previewed last month, comes in Team USA colors and features a snake design on the toe. On the special box are snakes, his number and the Chinese characters meaning “Solidarity,” “A long, long time” and Kobe’s jersey number.
Carmelo’s Olympia Supreme PE features graphics representing his love of dogs, as well as a breakdown of his number 15. Seven (symbolizing “Togetherness”) plus eight (symbolizing “Fortune”). The shoe also features a special box. Via Sneaker News.

If you got the bank, I got the shoes for you. Check out these Kevin Garnett shoes that commemorate the Boston Celtics making it to the 2008 NBA Finals. Made by Adidas, these shoes are sure to grab headlines around the globe.
Adidas will only issue eight pairs of these shoes per game. If the Finals lasts four games, there will be only 32 pairs of these shoes released. If the Finals last seven games, there will be 56 pairs released. The cost? Only $1,017 a pair. You can buy the shoes either at the NBA store in NYC, in the fan shop at the Boston arena or at Celtics.com. Another House of Hoops limited edition release is this Carlos Boozer Nike Sharkley PE. Though Boozer and his Utah Jazz were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Lakers, Boozer and point guard Deron Williams are one of the great young big man-guard tandems in the NBA today.
This shoe features the colors of the Jazz away uniforms – blue, black and white in an interesting combination. The use of mesh, smooth leather and glossy patent make these shoes a unique choice.
