Nike Air Max 97

If it’s silver or gold you fancy in your sneakers, get a heads up with the comeback of this 90s classic of Nike collection, the Nike Air Max 97.  This comes in two colorways, the more popular being the original silver/red and the coming behind gold series.  Coming back this fall 2010, this Nike Air Max 97 was first earlier released in 2005.  This sneakers categorize as classic simply because they are made for sports with its comfort feature and excellent cushioning that go along with its metallic futuristic appeal.  For a comfortable run or training, these shoes from the 90s will surely work its wonders.  With its sole comes the Nike Air Sole technology that make it run ahead of its retro kicks batch which on some of the user feedbacks do not really offer much support and comfort in its cushioning compared to this Nike Air Max 97.

Nike Air Max 97 – Metallic Gold/Varsity Red/Black

We saw the OG colorway of the Nike Air Max 97 a while back as it became available at Nike retailers. While that OG colorway is sure to get more attention than the other colorways, here we see a colorway that could be highly favored by many sneakerheads. This latest Nike Air Max 97 comes in a Metallic Gold/Varsity Red/Black colorway. This isn’t the first time we are seeing this colorway as if was last retroed in 2005. The colorway is certainly a nice one, with metallic gold covering the upper and tongue. Black is used for the inner lining and outsole while the small Nike swoosh comes in varsity red. I really feel this colorway is better than the OG colorway. What do you think? Via Sneakernews.

Nike Blazer Hi Premium & Nike Air Max ‘97 (Playstation 3 Inspired)

Nike will release the Blazer Hi Premium and Air Max 97 in Dec. ‘08. These two sneakers are labeled as “Playstation 3 – inspired” because the gradient colorway reminds one of the Playstation 3 Air Max 360’s and the Playstation 3 Nike Air Force 1’s that were released 2 years ago. These two shoes feature black colorways on the shoe uppers. The Nike swooshes have Technicolor in a blend. The heel has a back tab that uses the feature of the colors. The Air Max ’97 is $140 while the Nike Blazer Hi Premium is $90.

The Nike Blazer Hi Premium has a detail above the midsole. A thin, narrow strip has nice colors of blue and pink. The black shoe lace blends into the black upper and it looks very neat. The midsole is black. It is a good looking shoe with accents that brighten up the look.

The Nike Air Max 97 is a great shoe if you like to see the design of the concentric “tracks.” The midsole has windows and they are nice distinguishing marks of the shoe. The outsole has the characteristic deep treads. These two shoes make a great pack and they are suitable for the holiday season too. The colors help to project the festive mood.
