Now Available: Nike Air Maxim Feat. Parra

Nike has been collaborating with Dutch designer Playa for its many lineups. The latest of which is of the Nike Air Maxim 1 and we got a great tip that these are now available at Nike Sportwear store in New York! That would be at 21 Mercer Street. This model features fine splatters in blue and red covering the whole of the sole. The theme colors are also found in the stitches found in the upper for a nice contrast and accent. Reviews have been pretty positive on this model and why not when you get this pretty cool collection by Parra no less.

Nike Sportswear Holiday ’09 Rivalry Collection Feat. Parra

This may look like your ordinary holiday collection but hear me out, folks. Sources on the net have related how Nike played this one out. Design icons Cassette Playa of London and Parra of Amsterdam were called upon to collaborate on Nike’s Holiday 09 collection. The story goes that Nike asked both designers to come up with a collection that will scream Rivalry, with Parra taking on the role of the underdog, encapsulating in the pieces his personal belief that “participating is better than winning”.  The result is vivid blues, reds, and orange paired with neutral blacks and white.

The collection consists of Nike Sportswear Stadium Jacket, NSW Destroyer Jacket and NSW Tee and of course, the black and blue colorway  sneakers above.

Vans x Parra for Fall 2009

Vans has created a variety of special collaboration packs from Fall 2009 with BRIGHT in Frankfurt. One of these packs includes work with Holland artist, Parra.

The collection includes Parra’s signature work on three Vans models. Three T-shirts are being introduced to go along with the shoes. Using primarily blue and orange to go along with black and white, these shoes are expect to be available at the end of the summer. Via High Snobiety.
