Patent leather is a hot fashion statement in 2009 and these Gourmet kicks utilize patent leather extremely well. The leather was developed in Italy and the attention to detail is obvious. Two different shoes are being released by Gourmet using the patent leather – the Otto and the Sette. The Otto utilizes a black smooth patent, while the Sette features crinkled patent leather. Both shoes give off an aura of class and sophistication. Via High Snobiety.

Barneys New York has hooked up with Converse on these cool Chuck Taylor All Star Hi’s. Featuring a perforated patent leather upper, these shoes are a beautiful choice.

A few weeks back, we told you about the Lanvin high tops in their Fall/Winter 2008 collection. Now here’s another shoe from the collection that you may really like. This time it’s a low verison in black.

This sneaker features a combination of black suede and patent leather with a contrasting metallic silver toe cap. The highlight of these shoes is the hot blue zipper that has been placed along the lacing. Though the design is simple, the colors and textures of this shoe add a luxurious appeal.

The pictured shoes feature an all black color scheme and a number of unusual designs. Perhaps the most unique aspect of this shoe is the use of studs. Nike’s new Air Max 90 patent pack features three great colorways – red, white and black. The shoes are very simple but the use of patent leather and other nice touches make these sneakers a terrific buy.

My favorite of the three is the red version pictured above. Combining several different textures, along with black and white to contrast the red, these shoes are certainly eye-catching.

For a more subtle appeal, the all white colorway is a good choice. It’s completely white except for the multi-colored sole. If you are a fan of black sneakers, the black colorway is nice and features beige laces.
