Nike SB Dunk High QS “Tecate”

Take a look at this Nike SB Dunk High. This SB Dunk High is inspired after Tecate, a Mexican beer. We have seen a couple of beer inspired SB Dunks over the years. The biggest one had to be the “Heineken” Nike SB Dunk, which forced off shelves because it wasn’t approved by Heineken. Well this SB Dunk High isn’t as good as the “Heineken” SB Dunk, but it’s easily the second best beer SB Dunk.

The colorway comes from the design of the Tecate beer can. The first thing you notice is the red, which covers the toe, lace panels, heel and the Nike swoosh. Black leather covers the toe box and collar area, while that same black is seen on the tongue. Clean white is put into use on the inner lining, shoe laces, tongue tag and the midsole. This SB Dunk High also features a metallic gold quarter panel and a light brown outsole. This is a quickstrike release, so you might have to put in a little work if you want a pair. What do you think?

Multiple shades of grey come together on the upper, which is mostly constructed of canvas and suede. Black can be seen on the tongue, midsole and other minor areas around the sneaker. The shoe laces are done up in clean white, while the Nike swoosh is made of grey leather. This Nike SB Dunk High is finished off with a semi translucent outsole. Nike SB Dunk Low Pro – Black/White/Blaze Orange

Halloween is just a couple of months away, and we all know how much Nike loves Halloween. It looks like Nike is already preparing for Halloween as we get a look at a new SB Dunk. This Nike SB Dunk Low Pro comes in a Black/White/Blaze Orange colorway. As you see, the fat tongue is back! Many were thrilled when Nike SB announced that it would bring back the fat tongue, which was loved so much before it was taken away.

As for the colorway, it’s a great one. The black upper is mostly constructed of two materials, leather and suede. Black is also seen on the heel, tongue, and the outsole. Orange accents appear on the inner lining, swoosh outline, and midsole stitching. The orange accents definitely make this shoe worthwhile. This Nike SB Dunk Low Pro is available now at select Nike retailers.

Nike SB Tokyo Mids x Tokidoki Concept

Sneaker designer Villain Customs created a Nike SB concept recently for fashion boutique Tokidoki. The result was a hot design called the Nike SB Tokyo Mids x Tokidoki Concept, which reflects Villain’s unique vision through cartoons and Eastern imagery. I found these photos at the Villain Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

The background pattern for the Nike SB Tokyo Mids is black with an assortment of clouds and shapes painted in gold. The left shoe features a funny little character dressed in a cactus suit and the right shoe presents a beautiful Japanese woman surrounded by a golden aura. Villain continued the black/gold backdrop on the toe boxes surrounded by a gray toe.

Villain uses a bright pink Nike swoosh and SB logo to cut through the simple colors used elsewhere on these customs. After looking at the Tokidoki website linked here, Villain Customs seems to have fit his Nike SB Tokyo Mids into the boutique’s aesthetic. You can learn more about Villain Customs and his work on the Nike SB Tokyo Mids concepts by heading to the designer’s website linked here.
