The difference from the original SK8 Hi is in the upper, fully realized in cloth, without the various pads on the neck and the classic brand logo in the middle. Increasing collaboration between different brands is the trend these days. The Japanese brand Deluxe and Vans have joined hands before, most notably in November, but we must admit that the pure perfection of this pair is a lot better than anything that they have created so far.

The black/white colorway of the pair is pure but powerful in its superior conception. The form of the shoe owes a lot to the classic Vans concept, but its reinforced with various touches of exclusive Deluxe creativity, as seen on the heel and the upper.

Collaboration is good for sneaker lovers, good for the industry, and good for us commentators. To be sure, seeing better designs created by the combined creativity of various masters is inspirational to writers too. You might have heard of this upcoming release, but now here’s some clean, detailed images of the upcoming collaboration between XLarge and Vans on the Sk8 Hi.

These shoes feature a black suede upper and a multi-colored XLarge print. The laces come in every color that’s on the sneakers. The stark white midsole are a great contrast to the rest of the shoes.

The Vans Vault campaign is releasing a colleciotn of SK8-His and Half Cabs in black and white croc. These shoes featur suede treatment along with tonal croc paneling.

If you are looking for simple colors with a lot of texture, these shoes are an ideal choice. You can get them now at select retailers, such as Mischief. Via Hypbeast.

Graphic artist Aimee Wilder hooked up with Vans to work on a series of shoes including the Sk8 Hi, Slip-On, Authentic, Low Pro and KVD models.

The pink and white colorway of the Sk8 Hi is a cute choice. All the shoes feature different colors and graphics that include robots, pigeons and koi. Expect the Sk8 Hi at Vans retailers in January with the other models following shortly after. Via Sneaker News.

Vans continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the SK8-Hi with some interesting makeups. This shoe is a collaboration between Silas and Vans and the result is a nice looking shoe.

The black SK8-Hi is accented with white stitching and turquoise accents for some flair. The Silas “S” logo is featured along the stripe. Though there’s nothing that wild about these shoes, they do have some pizazz that make them unique and appealing. The Silas x Vans SK8-Hi is set to release in September at the Silas & Maria’s store in Tokyo. Via Sneaker Files.

Vans recently released the “Peace Pack,” which is features a Sk8 Hi, Slip On, and a Old Skool. This pack may remind you of their “Hippie Pack” from last year. But the “Peace Pack” is all about the peace sign logo.

Using a black upper, brightly colored peace signs are all over these shoes. It’s a wild look with a throw-back 70′s appeal of the times of peace and love. If you are looking for a vibrant shoes and into peace, these shoes might be for you. Via The Shoe Game.
